Community Spirit in Kenya

We have joined a group of people that have come together to raise funds for food, clothing, medical and other emergency items for the Baringo people. A lot of people are donating towards this cause, and we have been promised armed escort until the supplies reach a camp that is full of children, the aged, and young mothers. We will not be escorting the supplies for safety reasons, but we aim to keep collecting donations until the situation improves.

We talked to the girls, and we were proud to hear how they have selflessly given of themselves to help the children in their communities to line up for whatever little relief supplies the government is sending through armed escorts. Their main concern right now is food and security. Getting them out of Pokot would be the best solution, but they can’t leave their villages, so we are seeking support that will reach them.
