Fighting Starting in Pokot

All is well with the girls. We have not talked this week to the girls who are pregnant. The rest of the girls are fine and nothing much has changed. Plans are still underway for one of the girls to come to Nairobi; she should be here next week. She has been helping her brother with home chores as well as herding the animals .

Pokot is very unpredictable, and this week fighting started after a 7-year-old boy was shot by Turkana riders as he took his family animals to herd. There is still a bit of tension, but the army has been sent there to quell the fracas.
