Girls Settling In

We spoke to the girls on the phone yesterday to find out how their first weekend at school was, and they are all well.

There were some documents missing in their Application Forms, and we managed to get them from Shiners School. We will take them tomorrow to college as well as a few books we had not yet bought.

The girls have adjusted to the low temperatures in Thogoto; the warm clothing we bought is helping, that was one of my major concerns. I was concerned about their having to deal with sicknesses like pneumonia due to the cold. We will go to the school around 5pm, so that I will be able am to check on them face-to-face.

One of the girls is due back in Nairobi by Wednesday. We can then scout around for a polytechnic program for her. Maybe she can engage in simple courses for cookery or tailoring, for example.
