In June 2012, Valvisions launched the Girls’ Choice Clubs in Kampala in local area secondary schools. The Choice Clubs meet bi-monthly as a forum for high school girls to interact with peers, mentors, and health professionals to examine socio-psychological, emotional, and spiritual issues which both affect and impact teenage girls.

One of the club’s primary goals is to empower young females to make the right choices for themselves. It is our additional hope that club members will be inspired to act as advocates for those in less fortunate conditions. In this regard, our curriculum includes speaking engagements presented by members of the community familiar with the devastating results of FGM, early child marriages, and obstetric fistula. |
